Fundamental rights for animals

An animal is not a lifeless product. But the food industry thinks otherwise. Producing meat, eggs and dairy as cheaply and as massively as possible causes a lot of animal suffering. Wakker Dier sees less and better meat as the solution to animal-friendly livestock farming.

In addition Wakker Dier has a higher goal for the long term. Ultimately, all animals are entitled to an animal-worthy life with plenty of room for natural behavior. Wakker Dier wants a better life for animals to be enshrined in fundamental animal rights. Just like nature reserves are protected by law. Wakker Dier currently conducts a feasibility study to explore where the opportunities lie.
