Fred Matser (Founder & Chairman)
Fred Matser is an inspiring humanitarian who, like many others, cares deeply about the future of the planet. He has made it his life’s work to contribute towards creating a more functional society by means of inspiration and empowerment. Towards this end he has been a (co-)initiator, (co- )creator and (co-)financer on a wide range of projects and over 15 foundations in both The Netherlands and abroad since 1983. The projects as well as the foundations cover the fields of healthcare, environment, conservation, peace and global transformation. His book Rediscover Your Heart was published in 2009.
Deepak Chopra
Dr. Chopra is the author of more than fifty books translated into over thirty-five languages, including numerous New York Times bestsellers in both the fiction and nonfiction categories. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians, a member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, Adjunct Professor at Kellogg School of Management and Senior Scientist with The Gallup Organization. Time magazine heralds Dr. Chopra as one of the top 100 icons of the century and “the poet-prophet of alternative medicine.”
Jane Goodall
Dr. Jane Goodall, DBE, one of the world’s most famous scientists, is known for her landmark study of chimpanzees in Gombe National Park, Tanzania. In 1977, Dr. Goodall established the Jane Goodall Institute (JGI), which supports the Gombe research and is a global leader in the effort to protect chimpanzees and their habitats. With offices in over a dozen countries around the world, the Institute is widely recognized for innovative, community-centered conservation and development programs in Africa and a global youth program, Roots & Shoots, which currently operates in 90 countries. Today, Dr. Goodall devotes virtually all of her time to advocating on behalf of chimpanzees and the environment, travelling nearly 300 days a year.
Marika Verheijen
Marika has lived and worked in several European countries holding management positions with international companies such as NUR Reisen and EuroDisneyland Paris. In 1999, she decided to leave the corporate world to become the Co-Chairperson, and in 2000 Chair, for the International Healing Conference. She also co-founded the organization UnitingPeople International, fostering universal understanding and support for social entrepreneurs. Over the years Marika has supported and assisted Rev. Alex Orbito in his healing mission across the world and as such connect people to increase awareness around the subjects of healing, holistic health and spiritual growth.
Evert Greup
Evert Greup (1956) is married and has two children. He studied econometrics at Erasmus University Rotterdam and obtained his MBA at the University of Rochester (USA). From 1982 until 2010, Evert worked in the financial sector, amongst which he functioned as CEO of Kempen & Co and afterwards at the VvAA group. By joining the board of War Child in 2004, a new world opened up to him. Ever since, his interests shifted to 'charity' (in the modern sense of the word) and social entrepreneurship.
